Landmark Townhouse Renewal: Parisian Chic in the Heart of the Brownstone
This project was a full gut renovation of a landmarked townhouse, where historic preservation met bold contemporary living.
The exterior was carefully restored in accordance with landmark guidelines, while the design introduced two transformative architectural interventions: a rear yard addition that extends the living space seamlessly into the garden, and a new roof bulkhead and terrace, creating an unexpected vantage point to enjoy the city skyline.
Inside, the interiors celebrate a playful Parisian chic sensibility—colorful, layered, and full of personality. Inspired by classic European apartments but reinterpreted for modern life, the palette mixes vibrant tones, rich textures, and whimsical detailing. Every space feels curated yet comfortable, with a sense of joy and discovery.
